Moynahan Williams, Inc. is an Indianapolis-based real estate management and investment firm that has been father-son owned by Don and Mike Williams since 1998. The firm grew out of Moynahan Properties, which started in 1923 when the Moynahan family began building and managing apartment buildings in Indianapolis. Donald Williams joined Tom Moynahan in 1982 and Michael Williams joined the firm in 1996.

Honoring Our Legacy
Don was born in Ohio but spent most of his youth in Indianapolis. Don was a varsity member of the Notre Dame golf team and continued to play his whole life. As a seasoned real estate professional with decades of experience, Don was instrumental in developing MWI as an independent business owner in a growing market. Don served as President of MWI for decades. He was an avid traveler and devoted reader, with an unmatched passion for his family. Don passed away in March 2024 as a beloved member of the MWI family. We celebrate Don’s legacy with immense pride and gratitude.
Current Leadership
Mike Williams serves as Owner and President of MWI Real Estate. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Mike is a proud graduate of Butler University where he played on the varsity golf team. Mike manages all facets of the day-to-day operations at MWI, including business development and identifying new investment options. Mike can be found outside of work spending quality time with close friends and family, competing in amateur golf tournaments across the country, and supporting his alma mater as a proud Butler Bulldog.

Don’s other interests include travel, reading, and exercising, but his passion has always been his family.

Mike Williams was born and raised in Indianapolis. He is a proud graduate of Butler University and while a student there was a varsity member of their golf team. Mike’s role at MWI includes managing all facets of the day-to-day operations, business development, and identifying new investment options. In his spare time Mike still competes in amateur golf tournaments, exercises, coaches high school golf, and watches his children compete in their various sporting and school endeavors.
